Luise Mueller (*Frankfurt/Main, Germany) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (*2024 diploma) in the Department of Art and Film under the professorship of Thomas Heise, then Tizza Covi.
“Her basic theme is ambivalence, the inexpressible, the untenable; that for which we cannot find words.” Tina Teufel
In her documentary films, Luise Mueller portrays places and people with great care and precise visual and acoustic accents. Coming from a background in painting, her films are characterized by a gift for composition, a feeling for light and aesthetics as well as a work between the intellectual and the emotional. In her film language, Luise Müller pays particular attention to details, rhythm and emptiness. In this way, the artist works against the indifference and rawness of everyday life.
